Need to bypass a work filter? Get ip banned from your favorite online forum by an overzealous moderator? Want to check into your boyfriend’s email without getting caught? Then what you need is a proxy website. Now, proxy websites can be either cheap, or free (there are pricey ones, but we won’t bother with them). Each one has its advantages, so we’ll share some of the best on the web with you right here
Free Proxy Websites
Hidemyass.com
Hide My Ass is a clever play on words (their mascot is a donkey). The website itself is a pretty effective tool for exploring the internet ninja-style, getting in and out without leaving a trace. Some things can be a little fidgety though. It doesn’t seem to be sending out any fake IP addresses, so you probably won’t be able to register an alt. on that forum you were banned from.
Iphider.org
IPhider offers a lot of options for cookies and tracking and so on, so they may well be your best bet if you need versatility. Sometimes you feel like a cookie, and sometimes you don’t.
Cheap Proxy Websites
Proxiesforrent.com
Proxies for rent is one of the best options out there for cheap proxies. With plans starting at fifty cents a month for a shared proxy, you can spend fifty cents more for your own. If you can’t afford that, then you shouldn’t be spending so much time on the internet in the first place.
The advantage of a free proxy is that, well, it’s free, it doesn’t cost you a dime. If you only plan on using it once or twice, go with the free proxy. If you want a reliable proxy, though, one that can work as well as your real IP address, spend the dollar or two and get a couple of proxies with which you can ninja the net to your heart’s content.
